God gave us over 500 people who, at the same time, saw Jesus alive and well in the days following His very public execution!

“Jesus appeared to more than 500 of His disciples on at least eight different occasions over a forty-day period; He conversed with them, ate with them, let them touch Him, and cooked breakfast for them. The fact that both the Old Testament and Jesus Himself predicted that He would rise from the dead makes this miracle even stronger in its significance.”

1 Corinthians 15:3-5

1 Corinthians 15:3-5 “may be the earliest formulated creed of Christianity,” according to many N.T. scholars and it demonstrates that the Resurrection has, from it’s very beginning, been “the central and most important teaching of Christianity.”

“I passed on to you what was most important and what had also been passed on to me. Christ died for our sins, just as the Scriptures said. He was buried, and he was raised from the dead on the third day, just as the Scriptures said. He was seen by Peter and then by the Twelve. After that, he was seen by more than 500 of his followers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have died. Then he was seen by James and later by all the apostles. Last of all, as though I had been born at the wrong time, I also saw him.” (1 Corinthians 15:3-8 NLT)
