The symbol is an “E” for Earth with a globe and a babies face. While Bible scholars have differing opinions about the exact length of time represented by the Genealogies of Genesis 5 and 11, all the proposed interpretations for understanding these scriptures place the creation only thousands of years ago (6,000-10,000), never millions or billions. One of the reasons for this is that these genealogies use numbers indicating the age of the relative when the next relative mentioned was born. In most cases the relationships were father and son, but even if this is not the case, it doesn't change the number of years between them.

Some have also suggested that there may be gaps in the genealogies—suggesting that these gaps would make it possible to somehow fit hundreds of thousands and even millions of years into them. But the suggestion of gaps is based on questionable reasoning and a probable copying error in the genealogy list of some translations of Luke 3:36 where there seems to be an extra person named Cainan listed.

Also, if you attempt to make the Biblical genealogies harmonize with the secular timescale which claims that humans have been around for roughly 200,000 years, you would need to add so many missing generations that it would make the genealogies, as given in the Bible, meaningless. And that would be a foolish position for a person who understands Jesus' opinion of Scripture.

EARTH IS YOUNG

The genealogies found in the Bible demand an age for the earth of thousands of years, never millions or billions.
